NASA’s Lucy spacecraft, which launched in October 2021 to seek for Jupiter’s asteroids, captured a picture of a smaller asteroid close to Mars final week, which offered scientists with a surprising shock.

The Related Press reported that the invention was made when Lucy flew by Dinkenish in Mars’ most important asteroid belt, about 300 million miles away.

The picture was reportedly taken when Lucy was 270 miles from Dinkenish, after which despatched knowledge and pictures again to Earth.
